Department of Chemistry

As a Legacy of Growth and Excellence, the Department of Chemistry was Established in 2013 as part of the University of Sargodha, Sub-Campus Bhakkar. Department was started with a clear mission: to provide premier education in the chemical sciences. In February 2022, following the sub-campus’s transition to Thal University Bhakkar, the department entered a new era of academic independence and expanded research capabilities. We are committed to academic inclusivity and the continuous progression of our students: In Fall 2024, we launched direct 5th-semester admissions for the BS Chemistry program, providing a seamless transition for students holding Associate Degrees (ADS/ADP). Marking a major milestone in Fall 2026, the department introduced MS and PhD in Chemistry with HEC approval. This expansion into advanced research allows us to foster a deep scientific spirit and contribute meaningfully to global scientific advancements.
